Red Production Company was set up in January 1998 to work with writers on modern, innovative and entertaining dramas. Red first went into production in Spring 1998 on Russell T Davies' 8 part serial, Queer As Folk, for Channel 4. Transmitted in January 1999 it was followed immediately by Love In The 21st Century, devised by Catherine Johnson, 6 stories about sex, love and relationships. Other productions include Clocking Off, Now You See Her, Linda Green, Bob & Rose, Sparkhouse, Having It Off, Flesh and Blood, The Second Coming, Burn It, Indian Dream, Mine All Mine, Big Dippers, Dead Man Weds, Conviction, Casanova, Legless, New Street Law Series 1 and 2, Jane Hall, Magnolia, The Good Housekeeping Guide, The Mark of Cain, Unforgiven, Acid Burn, Worried About the Boy and Single Father.

TV Production:

Written by Mick Ford (Ashes to Ashes, William and Mary) and set in Glasgow, the series tells the story of Dave, played by David Tennant, a photographer facing the seemingly impossible job of bringing up his four kids alone. Things get even more complicated when he begins to fall in love with Sarah – his wife’s best friend. Is Dave betraying Rita by falling in love again so soon or will he be walking away from true love if he ignores his feelings? With his children at the centre of his world, Dave worries what will happen when they discover he’s found love again.

RIP Boy
A gripping Radio drama about the cruel murder of Zahid Mubarek written by Neil McKay and produced by Melanie Harris. To be transmitted on Radio 4 Friday, 7th May 2010 at 2100.
CRAVEN
Red produced Radio police thriller called Craven written by Amelia Bullmore for BBC Radio 4 which starred Maxine Peake, Jack Deam and Michael Obiora.
Red produced an upcoming short film written and directed by Matt Greenhalgh called 'Acid Burn'. The film stars Matthew Beard (RICHARD) and Agyness Deyn (MARTHA) and follows RICHARD'S adventure into MARTHA'S world of clubbing. (click on Acid Burn for synopsis).
