BEDLAM returns to SkyLiving HD for a dramatic second series on Wednesday 6th June at 10pm.
Written and created by Neil Jones, David Allison and Chris Parker, BEDLAM is a supernatural horror drama, set in an eerie pre-Victorian lunatic asylum, now converted into flats.
The new series promises to be even darker and scarier than before, and boasts an all new line-up. Leading the cast is award-winning actress Lacey Turner (EastEnders, Being Human), playing Ellie, a newcomer who gets caught up in the danger and mystery of the old asylum. Starring alongside Lacey is Jack Roth (Great Expectations, The Cafe), Gemma Chan (Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Fresh Meat), and Nikesh Patel (Honour, Jadoo). Hugo Speer (Full Monty, Bleak House) will return as Warren Bettany, Kate’s father and the owner of Bedlam Heights.
The series is produced by Peter Gallagher (Single Father, The 39 Steps), directed by Fraser MacDonald (Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Shameless) and Amy Neil (The Child, The Cut), and made by Red Production Company (Hit and Miss, Exile).
The first series finished with a cliff hanger, leaving viewers unsure of who would make it out of Bedlam Heights alive…
The new series opens with Ellie (Lacey Turner), a paramedic, who like Jed has struggled to accept her special “ability” to see ghosts. After hearing rumours about Jed from his time spent on the psychiatric ward, she decides to track him down. His last known address leads her to Bedlam Heights, where she hopes she might learn more about her condition. But the things ELLIE finds are more disturbing than she ever anticipated.
Will ELLIE find the answers she’s looking for, or will the ghosts of Bedlam’s past compromise her future?
