Exile
A psychological thriller, telling an intimate story of prodigal redemption.
With his career and life in ruins, Tom Ronstadt (John Simm) decides to return to his hometown in Lancashire for the first time in 18 years. He finds his father Sam (Jim Broadbent), who Tom idolised as a child, now in the grip of Alzheimers a once formidable man now being cared for by Tom's younger sister, Nancy (Olivia Colman).
Tom begins to unravel the mystery from his childhood that drove him away all those years ago. In trying to encourage his father to remember the past, Tom becomes increasingly frustrated with Sam's inability to remember. Nevertheless, he persists, unaware that he is about to unearth a devastating crime, revealing secrets he could never have imagined.
