Mine All Mine
RED PRODUCTION COMPANY, 4 x 60' and 1 x 90' for ITV1
Max Vivaldi has a dream. According to an ancient will from 1710, his family owns the whole of Swansea. But everyone laughs at Max, just as they laughed as his father before him, and he's a running joke on the South Wales coast?
Until it all turns out to be true.
The hapless Danny Baveystock arrives from London to value antiques, but ends up accidentally authenticating the will. And for Danny, the Vivaldis and the city of Swansea, life will never be the same again?
The most ordinary family in the world suddenly becomes lord and master of all they survey. The roads, the houses, the shops, the beaches - all theirs! But how can Max run a town when he can't even understand his own family? Wife Val is having a clandestine affair with the Egg Man, schoolboy Leo is a secret internet businessman, and daughter Candy thinks she's a pop star. Only the eldest child, Maria, seems to have any sense, but she's too busy being dumped by her latest man.
As the Vivaldis become punch-drunk with power, they're in danger of being torn apart by lies, broken hearts and betrayal. And things get worse, as ancient family feuds and buried secrets in the dynastic line begin to emerge.
Even if Max gets everything he wants? is it worth it?
