Clocking Off 4

Series Created by Paul Abbott

co4Clocking Off returns for a run of six episodes in it's fourth season and will begin transmission on Sunday, 2nd March 2003. This truly original drama follows one of the factory workers each week in a modern "play for today".

This series we take a look at sibling rivalries, a near fatal car accident and the onset of epilepsy, cross culture love and racial tensions, and our new factory boss who looks to have the perfect life with the perfect marriage, until we follow her to her home and meet her husband who has a crippling addiction which is leaving them penniless and desperate. We see Pam making a fatal decision to gain some control and pleasure in her life.

Each one of these stories is linked by the familiar workplace, Mackintosh Textiles, where the workers spend 8 boring hours each day, making friends and enemies, and earning just enough to make ends meet.

The fourth series of Clocking Off brings a welcome return to many familiar faces back to Mackintosh Textiles and the series is still shot entirely on location in and around Manchester.

The series is written by Daniel Brocklehurst, Bill Gallagher, Richard Zadjlic and John Fay

Produced by Juliet Charlesworth and Executive Producer Nicola Shindler.
