Episode 1: By Paul Abbott Post-natal Michelle is convinced that Linda has done the unthinkable and made a pass at Darren. After Jimmy unexpectedly takes Michelle's side, Linda is without her mates for the first time ever. Pizza delivery man, Eddie (Peter Kay) finds her alone and weepy on her birthday, and he can't believe his luck...He swiftly turns to his psychic feng shui skills to try and seduce this dream woman into her newly aligned bed...
Episode 2: By Danny Brocklehurst Jimmy seems to be moving himself into Linda's flat and she's not happy about it. Help arrives in the shape of Teresa (Jane Horrocks) a boring girl from school who Linda's never had time for. But now, Teresa coming to stay seems a sure-fire way of getting Jimmy to move out. Teresa is over the moon - Linda is actually paying her some attention after all these years. When Jimmy plays Linda at her own game and hits on her new mouse-like flatmate all Teresa's dreams seem to be coming true - she's almost living Linda's life...But Teresa’s dream slowly starts to turn into everybody eles'e nightmare...
Episode 3: By Tom Higgins Linda agrees to go on a Blind Date with a mate of a rep from work. When drop dead gorgeous Stan (Jeremy Sheffield) turns up she cant quite believe her luck - he's gentle, romantic and isn't just after a quick shag like all the others - he's too good to be true and definitely too good to let go. But when the rep tells Jimmy that Linda didn't turn up to meet Stan, alarm bells start ringing. If he's not Stan, he's definitely not Mr Perfect either. Who is this guy who’s got her hooked on romance?
Episode 4: By Chris Mchallem Darren persuades Linda, Jimmy and Michelle to leave the comfort of their home for a night to save the world. Or their local park at least. Darren fancies himself as a bit of a Che Geuvera, the others are just in it for a laugh, until Linda's arrested and thrown into a cell. Luckily she's locked up with dynamic activist Sukie (Meera Syall) who's more than willing to share survival skills. Linda quickly cottons on that this political lark is her chance to really make a difference. Michelle and Jimmy aren't quite so convinced. Does this Sukie actually care about anything or anybody other than herself? It's up to Linda to find out...
Episode 5: By Chris Bucknall The tedium of market research is 100% reduced when the questions are asked by a sexy man (Jamie Theakston). Linda instantly develops a multitude of hobbies - gardening, DIY, Cookery - anything really - as long as lovely Mr Market Researche's running a test on it. She's his star pupil, and more importantly she reckons there's a chance of some nookie... Linda lures him back to her house, convinced that his fascination with her cupboards is all a ploy to get inside her bedroom. But when he questions her ability to be loyal or committed to anything, Linda's attempts to re-invent herself become more and more extreme...
Episode 6: By Paul Abbott The flip-flops and sarongs are packed, and Linda is gagging for a week in the sun with her mates. But she's slept through her alarm, her taxi's long gone, and Jimmy, Michelle and Darren have already been ushered through check-in… Stuck at the airport, all she can do is curse wait for the next flight. That is until, Marko, the good looking welsh waiter (Tom Ellis), arrives on the scene and serves her more than a cappuccino... As a last attempt to salvage the holiday disaster she and Welsh-boy gate-crash her family's camping trip in Rhyll. But will Marko still be whipping her into a sexual frenzy after a few days in a rickety caravan or will she be hitching the next lift back to Manchester?
Episode 7: By Chris Bucknall It's Linda's Dad's birthday and he's feeling his age so it doesn't help when his old-time friend Brian (George Costigan) turns up well travelled, wealthy and young-looking. The girls are totally charmed by Frank's friend, and despite the wrinkles, there's an undeniable attraction between him and Linda. But Brian's arrival into their world reminds Frank of all the things he's not done with his own life. And Linda is the obvious scapegoat. Stung by the accusation that she can't look after herself, Linda goes to desperate measures to carve out an independent life for herself... But will any of these attempts work long term and can Linda be happy without her family around her? It's time for Daddy's girl to find out….
Episode 8: By Linda Gibson Matt (Martin Freeman) wants to sell his car because it reminds him of his ex and while he's at the garage he's totally wowed by Linda. And she's won over by his zest for life and desire to try new things. However, Horse-riding, golf and a tandem ride later she's starting to get knackered and the ghost of Matt's ex just wont go away...Will Matt ever want to just go down the club on a Saturday night and get pissed with her mates? And, just as importantly, why wont he let her get on top during sex?
Episode 9: By Tom Higgins It's Darren and Michelle's wedding day and Jimmy, is very much the nervous best man. But true to form he's cocked the cars up. Desperate to make amends - Jimmy runs out to hail a cab and is knocked to the ground by a sandwich delivery van. Linda, shaken by seeing Jimmy so hurt and helpless, vows to nurse him back to health and Jimmy’s brother Jay (Simon Pegg) arrives to help out too. Jay was always the black-sheep in a family full of losers, but Linda's convinced he's changed. And who knows more than her how important family is... But Jimmy doesn’t seem to be getting any better...
Episode 10: By Paul Abbott They're all off to a friend's party. Linda's got her frock on, taxi's booked. Michelle turns up and they decide to have a quick drink before they go. Then the boys arrive a bit the worse for wear. The Taxi's supposedly five minutes away when Katy and Ricky let themselves in, planning a quickie while the others are out. A bit peckish, they all start demolishing what's left in the cupboards. The longer the taxi takes, the more settled they get. Will they ever get to this party? Not likely, when Jimmy and Linda start getting shockingly honest with each other...It's make or break time, and none of their lives are ever going to be the same again...
