Broadcast Digital Awards

Cucumber, Banana and Tofu have received a collective nomination for Best Multiplatform Project at the Broadcast Digital Awards 2015.

Cucumber, broadcast on Channel 4, follows the misadventures of Henry, a chronically self-sabotaging gay man going through the world’s worst midlife crisis. Banana, broadcast immediately after on E4, depicts eight stories of modern LGBT life, with characters weaving in and out of both shows. Tofu, made available on 4oD, mixes interview footage with scripted sketches to explore modern attitudes to sex in all its many forms.

The winner will be announced on 24th June 2015 in a ceremony at The Brewery in London. The ambitious three-tiered project, devised and largely written by Queer As Folk creator Russell T Davies, aired earlier this year to positive reviews and is available to buy on DVD and digital download.
